Catalina loves making charts, infographics, maps, and enjoys all sorts of visual storytelling. For 15 years, Catalina has worked at the intersection of illustration, design, and visual information and is fascinated with the art of visualizing complex ideas into understandable works.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture and a master’s degree in Art History, both areas in which she has explored, practiced, and researched how ideas are represented from technical and artistic standpoints. She has taught several university courses in design theory and visual narratives.
Catalina’s work can be found online (with Stamen, Wire, Dropbox) and in print media (RBA, Editorial Planeta). Catalina was born in Colombia, has lived across Europe and now lives and works in Seattle, WA as an illustrator and information designer.
