Ross is a cartographer who is passionate about engaging with and examining maps through a playful lens. First inspired by the map in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, he wrote his thesis on playful map design in video games at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Ross now specializes in interactive map design and is constantly looking for ways to make cartographic knowledge more accessible to the public. He has helped organize OSM mapathons and streams map-focused games and mapmaking tutorials on his Twitch channel from time to time. By happenstance, his other major life endeavors start with the letter “m” as well. When he’s not making maps, Ross enjoys brewing extremely subpar Magic: The Gathering decks and writing/performing folk music around his home in Duluth, MN.
