We were fans of Acconci Studio well before we started working with them—their design for New York’s Storefront for Art and Architecture was a center of 90’s East Village culture and an amazing example of experimental architecture. Their work pushes every kind of boundary, with heart and whimsy and surprise—floors in airports peel up and curl, pieces of islands break off and go floating down the river, courtyards rotate in the wind. The studio’s multi-threaded approach to their work led us to a design that lets viewers explore multiple connections through their amazing portfolio.
