PBK is a full-service architectural planning and design firm that needed an interactive map experience to help its clients—school districts across the U.S.—engage with local residents and community members in order to craft a long-term Facilities Master Plan. In addition to clear and easy-to-use visualizations, they also needed a feedback loop with residents which could integrate with PBK’s existing survey systems. 

Stamen crafted a stand-alone web map application that is integrated into PBK’s existing content management system as well as their survey infrastructure. The first collaboration for Glendale Unified School District in Glendale, CA utilizes an extensible framework that will be used for similar projects across different school districts, and which could be maintained and updated by PBK staff without outside technical assistance.
