Since September 2024, Stamen has collaborated with HudHud Maps, a startup based in Saudi Arabia, that is focused on providing current, highly detailed data of otherwise poorly mapped cities in the Middle East. HudHud seeks to be the “local insider” in its pilot city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. These maps come in light, dark, and satellite hybrid mode, each available for the user to explore in the HudHud Maps app.

With highly detailed transportation and point of interest information, HudHud’s maps portray Riyadh as the bustling modern city it is today. They include extensive details showing the number of lanes, turn arrows, and street signs throughout the city, as well as real-time traffic, construction, and road closure data. The map is populated with custom local points of interest, styled by type and importance. Also featured is Riyadh’s new metro rail transit system, which opened at the end of 2024.
