The GIS team at The Wilderness Society (TWS) reached out to Stamen for help to envision and implement a new way of using GIS data that non-technical employees could use. Apart from wanting non-technical users to be able to answer their own questions quickly, the GIS team wanted everyone to be able to explore their impressive breadth of data.

Stamen conducted user interviews and strategized how best to organize a dashboard that would be helpful for all employees. We wanted to ensure that users could view and analyze layers and export a map from the Map Tool with supporting visualizations that were TWS branded. Our work allowed TWS to bring the world of wilderness maps to all of their users and also free up time for their GIS team to tackle new projects.
