The Detroit Regional Chamber and Gallup partnered with Stamen to develop the Detroit Resident Voices project, aiming to make data regarding the daily experiences of Detroiters accessible and actionable. Recognizing the need to engage diverse audiences we conducted a discovery process to identify the most critical wellbeing trends and community concerns that required clear, data-driven visualization.

Stamen designed and developed a custom interactive mapping tool that allows users to interrogate survey data at the neighborhood level. The platform visualizes complex survey results alongside relevant external data, using intuitive features like hover-based tooltips to facilitate deep dives into community sentiment. By synthesizing rich, resident-level insights into a seamless, brand-aligned interface, the tool empowers policymakers and strategists to better understand community needs and prioritize initiatives for the city.
