Why we’re closing Stamen tomorrow in support of the National General Strike

At Stamen we’ve passed the last month with a growing sense of concern and unease at the direction that our current President is trying to take the United States.

I’m concerned that this administration is recklessly careening forward to do what it can to undermine the checks and balances that have kept this democracy vibrant. And I’ve seen in the last few weeks that resisting his dangerous and hurtful agenda is not only possible, but effective. I think it’s vital that those of us who can be are public about our resistance and take a stand against this dangerous regime.

In support of America’s democratic principles, Stamen is closing our studio on Friday, February 17, in solidarity with the National General Strike that’s been called across the country.

Hang in there, friends. Good luck to us all.
